Part Two of the shelf: two more tales from "The Golden Maiden, and other folk tales and fairy stories told in Armenia" (Cleveland and New York, 1898), collected and told by A. G. Seklemian (1864–1920), an Armenian scholar and pastor who settled in America and set down the tales as he had heard them from the mouths of the people. Billed by collector and book, exactly as printed in 1898; not a survey of all Armenian tales, and no completeness is claimed.

The Poor Widow's Son — a princess throws her golden apple three times, and three times it finds the same poor widow's son. Sent out into the world, he carries three sayings from a wise monk down an enchanted well, past a giant who holds his life in a question — and patience itself brings him home after twenty years to the wife and son who kept faith with him. The Maiden of the Sea — a lad keeps his dead mother's charge and casts a loaf into the sea every morning, and the sea sends him a bride. When a prince covets her and sets the lad impossible tasks on pain of death, the sea provides again — and a baby three days old, who can walk and talk, shames the Prince into asking forgiveness. Both tales are read as printed in 1898, with one period word gently modernized where the old text described a maiden's colour.

Nine tales of the book were set aside under the channel's content law in this round, each named in the shelf's register; more of the book's tales wait for the parts that follow.
